This system uses a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a 17kWh battery for improved fuel efficiency. It can travel up to 25 miles on electric power alone before switching to the gasoline engine. The base 3.6-liter V-6 engine in the new 2023 Grand Cherokee offers a choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, while all other models come standard with all-wheel drive. This allows it to tow up to 7,200 pounds.
